Ben Bartch Launches Free Youth Football Camp at Alma Mater

Detroit Lions lineman Ben Bartch will host a summer camp for kids in grades 3‑8 at Blanchet Catholic School on June 13, featuring drills, games and lunch.

Former Oregon standout and current Detroit Lions offensive lineman Ben Bartch is set to give back to his roots with a free youth football camp at his alma mater.

Why Bartch Is Giving Back

After a high school career that began at Blanchet Catholic School, Bartch excelled at Saint John’s University before earning a fourth‑round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. His path has taken him from the Jaguars to the 49ers and now the Lions, and he says the lessons learned on and off the field motivate him to mentor young players.

The camp, scheduled for June 13 at Blanchet Catholic School, will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is designed for children in grades three through eight. Participants will rotate through drills, mini‑games and technique stations led by Bartch and his coaching staff.

Space is limited to 300 campers, and registration must be completed online in advance. Check‑in begins at 10 a.m. on the day of the event, and attendees will receive awards and a complimentary lunch before departing.

Bartch’s story — from a high school standout in Oregon to an NFL veteran — offers a tangible example of perseverance and hard work for the campers, many of whom are just beginning to explore the sport.
