MBM Motorsports to Skip Michigan NASCAR Event as Schedule Remains Sparse

The team’s limited 2024 campaign leaves only six confirmed starts for 2026, with driver line‑ups still undecided.

MBM Motorsports, known as Garage 66, has just completed a run of consecutive NASCAR Cup Series races, but the organization will not field a car this weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

A sparse calendar ahead

The team has announced that it has no further Cup Series dates scheduled until the 21st race of the season, and only six starts are locked in for the 2026 campaign, with driver assignments still pending.

In the upcoming Michigan event, the No. 44 NY Racing Team Chevrolet will be the sole open entry, and J.J. Yeley is slated to take the wheel for the first time since February.

Timmy Hill’s most recent outing came at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he competed on a track other than Darlington Raceway for the first time since 2021, while Josh Bilicki finished 34th at Watkins Glen International.

Casey Mears has already logged a single start in the No. 66 Ford this year, and Chad Finchum remains the driver with the most experience in that car, leading all competitors with four appearances.

Looking toward 2026

While the schedule is light, MBM Motorsports says it plans to run six more races next year, but the lineup of drivers has not been confirmed, leaving the team’s immediate future uncertain.
