Florida’s football program is gearing up for its second official visit weekend of the 2027 recruiting cycle, a moment that could prove pivotal in shaping the Gators’ next class.
The coaching staff sees the weekend as an opportunity to capitalize on the momentum generated by the first visit weekend, when the team secured commitments from several key targets and climbed into the top five of the SEC rankings.
Among the prospects expected on campus is four‑star wide receiver Eric McFarland III, a Bradenton native who ranks No. 33 overall and No. 6 among receivers in his class. He brings a hefty portfolio of 35 offers, eight of which come from other SEC powers, and his final decision is being watched closely by Tennessee, Texas A&M and Georgia.
Also on the itinerary is three‑star defensive lineman Elijah Guertin, hailing from Warwick, Rhode Island. Though his national ranking sits at No. 1 in his home state, Guertin’s 30‑plus offers include interest from four additional SEC programs — Kentucky, Arkansas and Vanderbilt — making his recruitment a multi‑state battle.
The Stakes for Florida’s 2027 Class
With the recruiting board tightening and the calendar moving quickly, the Gators’ ability to convert visits into signed letters could define the trajectory of their season and future recruiting pipelines.
The weekend will host five of Florida’s current commits alongside six additional visitors, creating a crowded but electric environment as coaches aim to turn interest into signatures before the next recruiting dead period.
