A fresh look for a timeless classic
In the spring of 2025 the program announced a collaboration with equipment manufacturer CCM, unveiling a refreshed version of the historic sweater.
The most visible change is a delicate outline of the State of Hockey stitched into the collar, while the back panel now bears the motto “Pride On Ice” in a crisp serif font.
These tweaks are deliberately restrained, ensuring the jersey’s heritage remains instantly recognizable while offering a subtle nod to the state’s rich hockey culture.
The 2025‑26 campaign got off to a challenging start, with the Gophers posting an 11‑22‑3 record that placed them near the bottom of the Big Ten standings.
Despite the rough tally, sophomore forward Brodie Ziemer emerged as the team’s offensive catalyst, netting 23 goals and adding 36 points.
