Born in Nguekhokhe, a small town near Thiès in Senegal, Diagne honed his game on the dusty courts of West Africa before catching the eye of European scouts. College Highlights at Gonzaga
Diagne’s collegiate journey took a decisive turn when he joined Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Over two seasons he appeared in 38 games, delivering a career‑high nine points against Santa Clara and posting a season‑high ten rebounds in a win over Pepperdine. His statistical line included 30 points, 67 rebounds, 16 blocks and four steals during the 2025‑26 campaign, underscoring a well‑rounded skill set.
One of his most memorable performances came on November 17, 2025, when he contributed six points and four blocks in Gonzaga’s victory over Southern Utah. A month later, he pulled down a season‑high ten rebounds against Pepperdine, a testament to his growing presence in the paint.
Beyond the NCAA, Diagne’s résumé features stints in the Spanish Liga Endesa and the EuroLeague with Real Madrid. In the 2023‑24 Podgorica Tournament he averaged 11 points and 7.8 rebounds, helping the club capture the title. He also led his U‑18 side to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament championship in Berlin, Germany, where he posted 12.5 points and 12 rebounds per game.
