Razorbacks Add Two Sophomore Pitchers
The University of Arkansas baseball program announced the signing of Ridge Harvey and Lance Alexander, both sophomores, to its 2025 roster. They will join left‑hander Micah Henson, who also committed to the Razorbacks after a standout season at Crowder College.
Harvey arrives from Belmont University, where he posted a 4.24 ERA and recorded 50 strikeouts over 46 2/3 innings. His performance earned him honorable‑mention All‑Missouri Valley Conference honors and a fifth‑place finish in the league’s freshman‑of‑the‑year voting. He praised the Arkansas culture, facilities and fan base, noting a 13‑strikeout outing against Evansville as a highlight.
Alexander comes from Johnson County Community College, a program that captured the NJCAA national championship with a 67‑3 record. In 50 1/3 innings he posted a 4.47 ERA and 67 strikeouts, throwing a fastball that reaches 95 mph. He highlighted his 91‑94 mph fastball, along with a sharp changeup and slider, and grew up in Lenexa, Kansas, the same hometown as former Razorback Brady Slavens.
The additions give the Razorbacks a deeper pitching staff heading into the next season, providing a mix of velocity, experience and proven postseason success. Coach observations suggest the new arms could bolster the rotation and add depth to a bullpen that has been a focus of recent development.
