The Yakima Valley’s high school sports scene has once again been illuminated by a cascade of all‑league selections, honoring the top performers across boys and girls soccer, golf, and tennis. From the competitive CBBN to the spirited CWAC, the strategic SCAC and the fierce EWAC, each league has recognized standout athletes, coaches and teams that have shaped the season.
League‑by‑League Honors
In the CBBN, the offensive brilliance of Aaron Leon from Eastmont earned him the league’s Offensive Player of the Year, while Aiden Munoz of Davis was celebrated as Defensive Player of the Year. Cristian Gonzalez, also of Davis, was named Coach of the Year after guiding his squad to a memorable campaign. The first‑team roster featured Dalton Freidig of Moses Lake between the posts, while a host of defenders including Giancarlo Cordero, Cesar Frausto, Jace Williams and Andres Arroyo anchored the line. Midfielders Lino Stevenson, Angel Ortega, Jonathan Garcia Mendoza, Ricardo Rivera, Kyren Lasswell, Arath Barajas and Brady Paz controlled the center of the field, and forwards Aaron Leon, Chani Vega, Anthony Garcia and Johnny Licona provided the attacking spark. A second‑team goalkeeper, Gabriel Pualani of Davis, and a group of defenders, midfielders and forwards rounded out the honors, with several local honorable mentions also acknowledged.
Across the CWAC, Kristian Iniguez from Toppenish was crowned Offensive MVP, and Jesus Armando Carrollo and Eli Montez shared the Defensive Co‑MVP award. David Flores of Ellensburg earned Coach of the Year honors, while Prosser received the league’s Sportsmanship accolade. The first‑team lineup included Angel Lopez of East Valley in goal, a defense comprised of Connor Beaty, Jesus Armando Carrillo, Oscar Espinoza Ortega and Eli Montez, midfielders Vicente Carrasco Valle, Uriel Delgado, Kristian Iniguez Mejia and Brayan Nunez, and forwards Alejandro Jasso, Omar Morales Gil, Eduardo Perez Arrezola and Luis Ramos. Second‑team selections and additional local recognitions further highlighted the depth of talent throughout the conference.
In the SCAC, Albin Eskew of Cashmere was named Player of the Year, and Josh Morrill captured Coach of the Year. The league also recognized Wahluke for its sportsmanship. First‑team selections featured Rylie Carter and Hannah Sonnichsen from Prosser as singles players, while doubles teams such as McKenna Franklin and Grace Lester, Shaylee Freeman and Faith Risenmay, and Olivia Harris and Arella Mendoza earned top honors. Second‑team athletes and honorable mentions rounded out the recognition, underscoring the competitive balance across the league.
EWAC competition produced its own set of stars, with Yohann Doshi of Selah taking the Boys Singles Player of the Year and Blake Gilman joining him on the first team. Caleb Adams and Luke Gates were celebrated as the Doubles Team of the Year, while Michele Ladd was honored as Coach of the Year. The league’s Sportsmanship award went to Othello. Additional accolades spanned singles and doubles selections, local honorable mentions, and a series of coach recognitions that highlighted the region’s broad‑based excellence.
Together, these all‑league honors reflect a vibrant athletic landscape where individual achievement and team integrity are celebrated across multiple sports and classifications.
