Former Austin Peay State University guard Collin Parker is making waves on the professional basketball circuit after a standout collegiate season that saw him dominate multiple statistical categories.
A Journey From College Star to NBA Prospect
His impressive résumé earned him workouts with two NBA franchises, the Detroit Pistons and the Brooklyn Nets, where he hopes to catch the eye of roster decision‑makers.
Parker capped the 2025‑26 campaign by being named the Atlantic Sun Conference Newcomer of the Year and earning a First Team All‑ASUN selection, while also reaching the final round of the Riley Wallace Award, which honors the most impactful transfer in Division I.
He concluded the season as the only player in the ASUN to rank among the conference’s top twelve in points, rebounds and assists per game, and he topped the team in scoring, field goals, defensive rebounds, three‑point percentage and free‑throw accuracy.
A native of Montgomery City, Missouri, Parker joins a lineage of Governors who have transitioned to professional play, with 46 former teammates having turned pro and seven having appeared in either the NBA or the American Basketball Association.
