Caroline Bradley, a senior at Oak Grove High School in Louisiana, has earned a place on the USA Women’s U17 National Team that will compete in the FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czechia, from July 11 to 19. The announcement marks the culmination of a rapid rise that began with a U16 AmeriCup championship and a gold‑medal finish the following year.
Trials and Triumphs
The selection process unfolded during intense trials in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where 46 athletes battled for 22 final spots. Over several days Bradley forged new friendships, faced off against top talent, and earned high praise from her coaches for her competitive spirit and teamwork. The experience, she says, has deepened the sense of camaraderie that she values as much as the competition itself.
Now focused on the World Cup, Bradley is eager to translate that summer momentum into another gold medal for the United States. She describes the upcoming tournament as a rare opportunity to represent her country two summers in a row and to measure her growth against the world’s best young players.
