Nebraska Secures Edge Rusher Ma’atoe Moe in 2027 Recruiting Flip

The commitment of a top Utah prospect reshapes the Cornhuskers' June class

A surprise flip in the 2027 class

Nebraska football has added a new piece to its 2027 recruiting class, securing the pledge of edge rusher Ma'atoe Moe after he flipped his verbal commitment from Minnesota.

Moe, a 6‑foot‑4, 245‑pound senior at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, had originally pledged to the Gophers but changed course following an official visit to Lincoln, where he got a closer look at the program and its facilities.

Ranked 93rd among edge rushers nationally by the 247Sports Composite and 15th in Utah, Moe entered his senior season with a growing list of suitors. He first received a college offer from BYU before his sophomore year and later added offers from Boise State and San Diego State, all of which remain on the table.

Nebraska now counts Moe among five recruits the program has landed in June, a flurry of additions that underscores the staff’s aggressive push in the current cycle.

The commitment highlights the competitive nature of the recruiting landscape, where a single official visit can tip the scales for a player who still holds multiple Power Five options.
