USA Baseball Announces 2026 Women’s National Team Training Camp Roster
USA Baseball has revealed the 40‑player roster that will converge in North Carolina for the 2026 Women’s National Team Training Camp, a pivotal step toward the upcoming WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Stage.
The camp, scheduled from 11 to 15 June, will bring together athletes representing 20 different states, who will train at multiple sites across Cary, Durham and Fayetteville before moving on to in‑state scrimmages.
Camp Details and Selection Process
The intensive program includes workouts, practice sessions and intrasquad games designed to help the coaching staff evaluate talent ahead of the final 20‑player selection.
Venues in North Carolina will host a series of drills and simulated games, giving coaches a comprehensive view of each player’s abilities under competitive conditions.
Coaching Leadership
Olympic gold medallist Mike Kinkade will head the coaching staff, supported by veteran assistants Jason Sekany, Tanner Vesely and Kristin Caldwell, each bringing a distinguished track record to the program.
Their combined expertise is intended to refine strategies and foster the development of the nation’s top talent as the team prepares for international competition.
Looking Ahead to the WBSC World Cup
The 2026 World Cup Group Stage will feature six nations — including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong‑China, Australia and Korea — with the top three advancing to the 2027 Finals in Rockford, Illinois.
The finalized 20‑player roster, enriched by 23 alumni and four newcomers, is expected to contend strongly for a podium finish as the squad aims to build on recent successes.
