Nebraska Secures Commitment from Elite Linebacker Eli Harris
Eli Harris, a three-star linebacker from Georgia, announced his commitment to the University of Nebraska, opting for the Cornhuskers over a host of Power Five programs including Pittsburgh, Michigan, Auburn and Ole Miss.
During his senior season he logged 67 total tackles, 17 of them for loss, while also recording three sacks and 23 quarterback hurries, numbers that highlighted his disruptive presence on the field.
His verbal pledge marks the first commitment of the day for Nebraska’s 2027 recruiting class, a group that now comprises 15 pledges and is ranked 19th nationally according to Rivals' team rankings.
The addition of Harris strengthens a linebacker corps that has been seeking depth, and his versatility is expected to translate into immediate impact once he arrives on campus in Lincoln.
