Nebraska Eight-Man All-Star Football Game Set for June 20
Excitement is building across Nebraska’s eight‑man football landscape as the 49th Annual Sertoma All‑Star Game prepares to showcase the state’s top graduating seniors. The roster, announced this week, features 46 of the best players from the eight‑man ranks, all set to meet on June 20 at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings.
The West squad will field 25 athletes, while the East team will bring 21 players to the gridiron. Both sides draw talent from a mix of small‑town programs, with the West pulling from schools such as Hitchcock County, Anselmo‑Merna and Lawrence‑Nelson, and the East drawing on institutions like McCool Junction, Lourdes Central Catholic and Johnson‑Brock.
Coaching Staff
Guiding the West team is Head Coach Andy Seamann of Brady, supported by assistants Blake Schwarz, Tye Spies and Ryan Sanger. Across the field, the East side will be led by Head Coach Matt Kuchar from Bloomfield, with assistants Kory Kahlandt, Luke Ericson and Steve Heimes orchestrating the game plan.
