A Strategic Addition to the Gamecocks Coaching Staff
Nat Hubert has accepted a new role as associate head coach for the University of South Carolina men’s soccer program, bringing a blend of championship pedigree and developmental insight to the Gamecocks.
During his tenure at Lindenwood University, Hubert guided the Lions to their first regular‑season and postseason titles in the Division I era, a breakthrough that culminated in an appearance in the NCAA Division I National Tournament and earned the team a No. 3 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the highest ever for an Ohio Valley Conference side.
Prior to Lindenwood, Hubert served two seasons as the top assistant at Catawba College, where his contributions helped the team achieve its highest national ranking in sixteen years and produced a trio of All‑Region selections and four All‑Conference honorees in a single season.
Hubert’s own playing career began at Belmont University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and was recognized on the All‑Freshman Team in 2013 before capping his collegiate experience with a national championship at the University of Nottingham in 2018, a journey that concluded with a master’s degree in management earned with honors.
His appointment is expected to bolster South Carolina’s recruiting pipeline and defensive organization, positioning the program for continued growth as it taps into Hubert’s proven ability to develop talent and sustain competitive success at the highest collegiate level.
