Ithaca College Baseball Stars Shine in CSC All-District Honors

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has revealed its 2026 academic all-district baseball teams, spotlighting four standout student-athletes from Ithaca College for their dual achievements on the field and in the classroom.

Ethan Fantel, a sophomore majoring in sports media, maintains a 3.9 GPA and has been recognized as an All-American by D3baseball.com while also earning Liberty League Player of the Year honors. At the plate he posted a .444 average with 58 RBI, 34 runs, 35 walks, 14 doubles and seven home runs across 35 games.

Camden Laney, a clinical health studies major, holds a 3.909 GPA and contributed a .291 batting average this season, logging 34 hits, 23 runs, 19 RBI and two home runs in 30 appearances.

Lucas Orlovitz, who graduated with a 3.864 GPA in sports media, finished his career with a .382 average, 35 runs, 25 RBI, 34 hits and 21 hit‑by‑pitches over 28 games.

Jack Picozzi, a finance major with a 3.702 GPA, went 4‑2 on the mound, posting a 5.55 ERA in 47 innings while recording 52 strikeouts.

The selections reflect CSC’s commitment to honoring student-athletes who combine competitive success with academic excellence, a standard that aligns with Ithaca College’s broader mission of developing intellectual and athletic leaders.
