Colorado State Secures Top 2027 Recruiting Class with Trio of Elite Commitments

Lovell Neal, Sevelino Taliauli and Braylun Huglon pledge to the Rams, boosting the program’s national profile

Colorado State University’s 2027 football recruiting class received a significant boost recently as three standout prospects announced their commitments to the Rams in early June.

A Recruiting Surge for the Rams

Lovell Neal, a 6‑foot‑4 receiver from W.T. White High School in Dallas, Texas, chose CSU on June 7 after an official visit. In his junior season he amassed 800 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and he holds offers from programs such as Pitt, Texas State, New Mexico and North Texas.

Sevelino Taliauli, a pass‑rusher who spent his last two high‑school seasons at Servite High School in Anaheim, California, committed to CSU on June 5. The three‑star recruit recorded 40 tackles, 16 tackles‑for‑loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 10 games last year, and he turned down interest from several Pac‑12 schools including Fresno State, Oregon State and San Diego State.

Braylun Huglon, the top‑rated commit in the class, hails from Cavalry Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. At 5‑foot‑10 he caught 76 passes for 1,474 yards and 21 touchdowns while also playing cornerback, returning punts and kickoffs. Huglon’s list of suitors includes Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and other Power 4 programs, and he is now ranked the 14th‑best recruit in CSU’s modern history according to the 247Sports all‑time rankings.

The trio’s commitments not only elevate CSU’s recruiting class but also signal the program’s growing appeal among elite prospects across the country. With these additions, the Rams hope to translate their enhanced talent pool into on‑field success in the coming seasons.
