Conference Honors Highlight Balanced Talent Distribution
The 2026 All-Kishwaukee River Conference girls soccer team has been announced, recognizing the standout performances of high school athletes from across the region.
Liz Smith, a senior from Johnsburg, was named Player of the Year after a season that featured 15 goals and 12 assists, earning praise for her midfield mastery.
Erin Doherty of Woodstock received the Goalkeeper of the Year award, posting a 0.92 goals‑against average and 18 clean sheets that anchored the team's defense.
Coaches selected the all-conference roster, revealing that Johnsburg contributed six players, Richmond-Burton five, Harvard and Marengo each two, Woodstock North three, while Woodstock and Plano each placed one athlete on the list.
The complete roster also includes notable names such as Charlie Eastland, Lauren McQuiston, Jacquelyn Douglas, London Baidinger, Devynn Michel, Maddie Seyller, Sydney Frericks, Abby Leslie, Blake Frericks, Addison Sell, Ella Seyller, Julie Silva, Liz Aquino, Macy Noe, Margaret Hanson, Abigail Ward, Serena Banushi, Allison Anderson, Alizee Alamo and Taylor Reideier, underscoring the depth of talent across the conference.
