Jeff Moore is set to return to the Zanesville boys basketball program for the 2026‑2027 season, taking the helm of a team eager for a fresh direction. The announcement comes as the school looks to build on recent progress and restore its competitive edge.
A Legacy of Success
Moore spent ten years at the helm of the girls basketball team, amassing 151 career victories and capturing five East Central Ohio League titles. His emphasis on fundamentals and player development has been credited with shaping a disciplined, hard‑working program.
After a three‑year break to work in broadcasting for WHIZ radio, Moore is stepping back onto the sidelines, succeeding Cedric Harris, who resigned after five years as head coach. The transition marks a new chapter for the program.
The coach will lean on a core of seniors — Lucca Wood, Quinnell Angler and Maddox Mohler — to provide leadership and experience. Their familiarity with Moore’s system is expected to accelerate the team’s adaptation to new strategies.
