Yale Bulldogs Strengthen Men’s Hockey Coaching Staff

Veteran associate head coach Kyle Wallack and assistants Anthony Walsh and Vincent Caligiuri join the program

A Strategic Boost for Yale Hockey

Yale University has announced a series of appointments that will reshape its men's ice hockey coaching staff ahead of the upcoming season.

Kyle Wallack, a Yale alumnus and former head coach at Albertus Magnus College, returns to the program as associate head coach. His tenure at Albertus Magnus was marked by multiple winning seasons, postseason appearances and Division III Independent Coach of the Year honors in 2022‑23 and 2023‑24.

Wallack also played a pivotal role in recruiting members of Yale's 2013 NCAA National Championship team, bringing nearly two decades of Division I experience to the bench.

Anthony Walsh, a former Yale captain who earned the Malcolm G. Chace Award for embodying Yale Hockey traditions, joins as an assistant coach after stints at Colgate University and the USA Hockey National Team Development Program.

Vincent Caligiuri, who has coached at Williams College, Princeton University and the New Hampshire Avalanche, joins the staff with a reputation for player development, recruiting and program leadership, having earned EHLP Coach of the Year honors.

The new coaching trio is expected to bolster the Bulldogs' recruiting reach across Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York, reinforcing the program's competitive edge in the ECAC.

University officials expressed confidence that the additions will help maintain Yale's tradition of excellence both on and off the ice.
