Stony Brook Athletics has revealed the 2026 football season promotional schedule, outlining five home games each paired with a distinct theme that promises family‑friendly fun and campus spirit.
Themed Matchups Across the Schedule
The season opens on Thursday, September 3, when the Seawolves host Lindenwood in a kickoff that doubles as Student Palooza, featuring giveaways and live performances. A week later, on September 13, Kids Day brings a rock‑climbing wall, face painting and other activities for younger fans. Homecoming, branded as the Battle for the Golden Apple, arrives on October 17 against UAlbany, followed by a Halloween‑themed showdown on October 31 that will include trick‑or‑treating and pumpkin decorating. The final themed event, Senior Day, is slated for November 21, honoring the graduating class with an on‑field ceremony.
Tickets and Early Access
Season tickets for the 2026 campaign are currently on sale, giving supporters the chance to secure seats for all home contests. Single‑game tickets will become available to the general public in July, allowing fans to plan around the themed dates.

With a calendar that blends athletic competition and community celebration, the upcoming season aims to deepen engagement across the campus and the broader New York region. Fans can expect a vibrant atmosphere at Kenneth P. Lavalle Stadium, where each game will be marked by its own unique festivities.
