Navy baseball pitchers Matt Archibald and Brady Bendik have been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association with ABCA All-East Region honors, a distinction that marks the first time Navy players have received such regional accolades since 2019.
A Historic First for Navy Baseball
Archibald, a First-Team All-Patriot League selection, topped the league in several statistical categories and placed ninth nationally in strikeouts per nine innings. He finished the season with a 2.35 ERA, a .171 opponent batting average and 98 strikeouts, underscoring his dominance on the mound.
Bendik, who earned the 2026 Patriot League Pitcher of the Year award, paced the conference in earned-run average and innings pitched. His season stats include a 2.42 ERA and 91 strikeouts, reflecting a relentless workload and efficiency.
Path to National Accolades
Both pitchers are now on the ballot for the ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams, an honor that will be announced on June 12. Their regional selections highlight a resurgence of Navy’s baseball program and set the stage for potential national recognition.
