New Courts Ready for Action
The City of Pooler is set to mark a milestone in its recreational landscape with the inauguration of two brand‑new basketball courts at 900 S. Rogers Street, which have been open to the public since May 22.
A ribbon‑cutting ceremony scheduled for June 11, 2026, will formally unveil the facilities, after which local youth basketball squads will take to the hardwood for an open‑play session that promises plenty of slam dunks and smiles.
Mayor Jane Doe highlighted the project as part of a broader push to expand recreational options and improve quality of life for Pooler’s residents, emphasizing that the courts provide a safe, accessible venue for families and athletes of all ages.
City officials note that the courts are the latest addition to a series of investments aimed at fostering community health, encouraging active lifestyles, and supporting youth sports programs that have long been a cornerstone of the town’s identity.
A Celebration of Community Sport
The upcoming ceremony will bring together city leaders, coaches, and families, underscoring the collaborative effort that made the project possible.
Looking Ahead
With the courts now open, Pooler plans to schedule regular tournaments and partner with schools to integrate the facilities into physical‑education curricula, signaling a sustained commitment to sport.
