Purdue’s men’s basketball team will open its preseason with an exhibition game against Purdue Fort Wayne on October 22, held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The contest marks the first time the two programs have faced each other since 2014 and represents the inaugural meeting of the two schools in an exhibition setting.
Coach Matt Painter’s squad is slated to play three preseason exhibitions before the 2026‑27 regular season begins, with additional games scheduled against Ball State and UConn.
The Boilermakers finished the previous season with a 30‑9 record, captured the Big Ten Tournament title and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
