Statewide Honors
The North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association has released its 2026 all-state girls soccer teams, dividing the honorees by classification and drawing talent from public, private and charter programs across the state, including members of the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association.
Among the celebrated names are Airlie Altman, Brielle Archer and Kressleigh Bock, who headline the 8A squad, while Morgan Benningfield, Sarah Brannin and Eden Capps lead the 7A group. The 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A teams each showcase a distinct set of rising stars, from Jaira Arellano and Carys Carson in the 6A lineup to Ella Duncan and Bella Hall in the 1A roster.
Coaches of the Year
Justin Schatz of Hoggard, Thomas Moore of R.J. Reynolds, James Horwath from Union Pines, Cam Ormsby of Croatan, Jared Drexler of Carrboro, Gody Zayobi and Chris Brown sharing the 3A honor, Josh Curley of Franklin Academy, and Graeme Stewart of Woods Charter have been recognized as coaches of the year for their respective classifications. Tiffany Rice of Charlotte Christian also joins the coaching elite in the NCISAA division.
The association notes that the HighSchoolOT All-State team will be unveiled later this month, promising additional accolades and a broader view of the state’s top talent.
Beyond the individual accolades, the selections reflect a growing depth of soccer excellence across North Carolina, signaling strong youth programs and a vibrant community that continues to produce players capable of competing at the national level.
