Isaiah Hill Eyes International Spotlight with USA U17 Camp

The Purdue commit aims to join a select group of Boilermakers on the world stage

A Prospect’s Path to International Play

Isaiah Hill, a five‑star recruit and the newest member of Purdue’s 2027 class, has been invited to the USA Basketball U17 National Team training camp that opens on June 13 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The camp serves as the first major evaluation for a group of ten prospects who will later compete for a spot on the FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup roster.

The FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup is scheduled for June 27 through July 5 in Istanbul, Turkey, where the final 12‑player roster will be trimmed from the current pool. Hill’s participation places him among a distinguished line of Boilermakers who have previously represented the United States at the youth level, including Carsen Edwards, Jaden Ivey and Caleb Furst.

Hill’s recent performances for Indiana’s Junior All‑Star Team have highlighted his all‑around impact. In a game against the Kentucky Junior All‑Stars he recorded 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, and he followed that with 12 points and five rebounds against the Indiana Senior All‑Stars, underscoring his defensive versatility.

During his junior season at Pike High School he averaged 12.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game, numbers that have drawn comparisons to previous Purdue internationals. Alumni such as Daniel Jacobsen and Omer Mayer have already left their mark on the U19 program, and Hill hopes to continue that tradition.

If selected for the final roster, Hill would join the likes of Daniel Jacobsen and Omer Mayer, who previously wore the USA jersey at the U19 level, and could become the next Purdue player to make a significant impact on the global stage.
