NCBCA Announces 2026 All‑State Baseball Teams and Players of the Year

Eight NCHSAA classifications honored with top players and pitchers, spotlighting standout talent across North Carolina

The North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (NCBCA) has released its 2026 all‑state baseball teams and Player of the Year awards for each of the eight N.C. High School Athletic Association classifications, celebrating the pinnacle of high school baseball talent in the state.

Each year the association honors the top player and top pitcher from every classification, providing a snapshot of the most dominant offensive and defensive performances across North Carolina’s high school programs.

Classification Honorees

In the 8A division, Jaxon Matthews of Hough earned Player of the Year honors, while Michael Pitsiniagas from Providence was selected Pitcher of the Year.

The 7A category recognized Cameron Tarkenton of Cardinal Gibbons as Player of the Year and Caleb Lynn from Cleveland as Pitcher of the Year.

For 6A, Josh Mozingo of Terry Sanford captured the Player award and Connor Salerno of Sun Valley claimed Pitcher honors.

The 5A division highlighted Harrison Ailshie from East Rowan as Player of the Year and Stone Massey of Hunt as Pitcher of the Year.

In 4A, Drew Dixon from Burns was celebrated as Player of the Year, with Cooper Crisco of West Stanly earning Pitcher recognition.

The 3A classification honored Gunnar Alm from Polk County as Player of the Year and Slater Persinger from Ayden‑Grifton as Pitcher of the Year.

In 2A, Jackson Sellers of Hayesville was named Player of the Year and Cameron Copley from Voyager earned Pitcher honors.

Finally, in 1A, Coby Beck from Bear Grass Charter received Player of the Year and Nick Denny from Falls Lake was selected Pitcher of the Year.
