A Fresh Coaching Duo Set to Elevate Pascagoula’s Offense
Pascagoula High School’s football program announced a pair of strategic additions to its offensive coaching staff, naming Bam Bryant as passing‑game coordinator and wide‑receivers coach, and Silas Corder as quarterbacks coach. The moves come as head coach Zach Green looks to sharpen the Panthers’ attack heading into the next season.
Bryant arrives with a résumé that includes stints as offensive coordinator and wide‑receivers coach at Jones College, as well as a six‑year tenure at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he helped secure six South Division titles, a state championship and a national crown. His experience as kickoff‑return coordinator at Jones College further adds depth to his new responsibilities.
Corder, the school’s all‑time leading passer, will mentor the quarterbacks in his debut season with the Panthers while also serving as an assistant coach for Colmer Middle School Baseball. His high school record, decorated with two‑time All‑State honors and a co‑offensive region MVP award, precedes a college career at Southern Miss before a transfer to Southwest.
Head coach Zach Green emphasized that the new staff brings a blend of proven play‑calling acumen and deep local knowledge. “We’re excited to bring in coaches who understand the community and can translate that passion into on‑field success,” Green said in the announcement.
