The Intermountain League unveiled its 2024 All-Conference baseball team in late May, spotlighting the best talent from the San Luis Valley. Seven players earned recognition, reflecting the region's growing competitiveness.
Montezuma-Cortez dominates the honors
The league champion Montezuma-Cortez led the selections with six honorees, highlighted by Cory Carver, who was named Player of the Year for his standout performance.
Coach Jake Huff of Montezuma-Cortez also received special recognition, being named Coach of the Year after guiding his team to the championship.
Alamosa contributed five athletes to the first team — Tony Griego, Jonah Pittman, A.J. Baker, Brennan Maez and Jaidyn Burciaga — while Burciaga additionally earned an honorable mention.
Centauri added two first‑team players, Leland Chacon and Dylan Gallardo, to the roster, underscoring the depth of talent across the valley.
Bayfield and Pagosa Springs each placed multiple players on the All-Conference list, further illustrating the balanced strength of the conference.
These selections set a strong foundation for the upcoming season and highlight the continued rise of high school baseball in the San Luis Valley.
