Washington’s football program is turning its attention to the 2027 offensive line class, with head coach Michael Switzer leading a targeted effort to secure the nation’s most promising linemen.
Among the names on the radar is three‑star tackle Tye Kennedy, a standout from Mountain View High School in Arizona whose size and athleticism have drawn early interest from the Huskies.
A Strategic Visit
Kennedy, the son of former Husky great Lincoln Kennedy, has listed Washington among his top six choices, which also include Arizona State, California, Michigan, Minnesota and Utah, and he is slated to set foot on campus on June 19 for an official visit.
The visit comes ahead of a July 1 commitment date, a timeline that reflects both the player’s rapid development and the staff’s confidence in his fit for the program’s long‑term vision.
Washington already holds a verbal pledge from four‑star center Reis Russell, and the upcoming weekend will host a cluster of prospects, giving Switzer and his staff a chance to evaluate talent in person.
Looking Ahead
If the Huskies succeed in landing Kennedy, the addition would not only bolster the line but also signal a broader recruiting momentum as the 2027 class takes shape, potentially reshaping the team’s future performance on the field.
