A Historic Season for the Rebels
The NCBWA unveiled its 2026 College Baseball All‑Americans on Tuesday, placing Ole Miss senior Judd Utermark on the Third Team. The announcement marks a milestone for the program, as Utermark becomes the first Rebel position player to receive All‑America recognition since Kemp Alderman in 2023.
Utermark’s statistical dominance is reflected across multiple categories. He tops the team in batting average, slugging percentage, on‑base percentage, runs scored, hits, and total bases, while also pacing the squad with 22 home runs and 53 RBIs.
His power surge has rewritten the Ole Miss record books. Utermark recently became the program’s all‑time home run leader with 51 career round-trippers, surpassing the previous mark, and he joins an elite group as the first player in school history to post back‑to‑back 20‑plus home run seasons.
Beyond the long‑ball, his all‑around contributions are evident in the SEC. His 72 runs scored rank fifth in the conference, and his runs‑per‑game average of 1.16 sits seventh among league leaders, underscoring his impact on the Rebels’ offensive engine.
Looking ahead, Utermark and the Rebels are set to compete in the Omaha regional, where his performance will be closely watched by both domestic and international audiences. The exposure aligns with the growing global interest in collegiate baseball, a trend that has been amplified by recent partnerships with sports streaming platforms.
