Spartans Secure 9-0 Victory in Class 2A Super-Sectional
The St. Joseph-Ogden baseball squad erupted in a 9-0 triumph over Williamsville, a performance that not only clinched their spot in the 2A state tournament but also underscored the team’s depth and pitching precision.
Right-hander Parker Fitch delivered a three-hit shutout, silencing the Williamsville batsmen while his teammates capitalized on every opportunity at the plate. The defense was equally crisp, turning double plays and limiting any rally chances.
Offensive firepower came from a balanced lineup. Logan Rosenthal went 2-for-4, reaching base in each of his five plate appearances, while Kodey McKinney and Trevor Ames added timely hits that stretched the lead. Asher Pruemer’s timely throw to first capped a smooth defensive sequence.
