All-Colorado League Announces 2026 Honorees
The 2026 All-Colorado League baseball teams were revealed this week, recognizing standout performers from schools across the Denver metro area and beyond. The selections were celebrated in a ceremony that highlighted both individual excellence and the coaching leadership that shaped the season.
Christian Ramirez of Adams City was crowned Player of the Year, capping a season in which he combined a .425 batting average with 12 stolen bases and a 1.85 ERA on the mound. His all-around contributions earned him the top honor among the league's top talents.
Rich Ramirez, also from Adams City, received Coach of the Year accolades after guiding his squad to a 24-5 record and a regional championship. Under his guidance, the team posted a team ERA of 2.31 and a batting average of .312, marking one of the most successful seasons in recent memory for the program.
Overland contributed several first-team members, including sophomore Jerome Mestas, who earned a spot as a utility player after hitting .410 with 18 RBIs. Joining him were Heber Almeida of Gateway, Brayan Ascencio and Octavio Sanchez of Overland, as well as Mauro Acosta, Marcos LaCrue and David Trujillo from Adams City, rounding out a competitive first-team lineup.
Skyview's senior duo of Humberto Chavez and Kaleb Rodriguez also made the first team, each delivering strong performances on the mound and at the plate. Their selections underscored the depth of talent across the league's traditional powerhouses.
Second-team honors were bestowed upon a host of emerging players, including Kirby Colbert-Olson from Aurora Central and Anthony Rubio from Gateway. Additional recognitions went to Aldo Gutierrez, Bryson Riordan and Dante Villanueva of Overland, as well as Marcos Garfio, Camdon McKenzie and Christopher Valdez from Adams City, and Marcus Archuleta and Carlos Carrillo of Skyview, highlighting the league's broad-based talent pool.
