A Legendary Legacy
Sis Paulsen, a cornerstone of Wisconsin women's hockey, will be honored with induction into the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.
From 1999 to 2003 she donned the Badgers jersey, serving as team captain and earning First‑Team All‑WCHA honors. Her offensive prowess placed her among the program’s all‑time leading defensemen, a testament to her skill and determination.
After her playing days, Paulsen returned to the university as an equipment manager, a role in which she helped the team capture three national championships, further cementing her impact on the program’s success.
A Weekend of Celebration
The induction ceremony is scheduled for September 18, with additional tributes during the Badgers’ matchup against Eastern Michigan on September 19, giving fans a chance to celebrate a figure who bridged eras within the program.
The weekend promises to blend nostalgia with future optimism, as alumni, current players, and supporters gather to recognize a pioneer whose contributions spanned both the ice and the locker room.
