Charlotte’s men’s basketball program announced a new addition to its coaching staff this week, as head coach Wes Miller appointed Brian Boyle to the role of assistant coach.
Boyle’s Coaching pedigree
Boyle arrives after a decade spent navigating both the NBA and its developmental circuit, bringing a blend of top‑level playing experience and strategic acumen.
His most recent stint was with the Greensboro Swarm, where he helped orchestrate the team’s top‑ranked offense, and before that he served as an assistant with the Motor City Cruise from 2021 through 2024.
Prior to those roles, Boyle cut his teeth as a graduate manager at La Salle University, a period that laid the groundwork for his ascent within professional basketball circles.
Miller highlighted Boyle’s expertise in offensive strategy, player development and game preparation as key reasons for the hire, noting that the new assistant will help shape a more dynamic attack for the 49ers.
