The Deseret News has released its 2026 4A All-State baseball team, recognizing the elite high school players from across Utah who have distinguished themselves during a competitive season.
Harmon Skeen of Desert Hills was selected as Mr. Baseball, a tribute to his .451 batting average and 16 home runs that set a high bar for the award.
Trey Vaughn from Snow Canyon earned the 4A Player of the Year honor after posting a .505 average and a 1.480 OPS, underscoring his all-around impact.
Playoff MVP and Other Key Honorees
Bridger Larsen of Snow Canyon was named the 4A Playoff MVP, while Dawson Moore from Provo and Kade Kelsch of Snow Canyon joined the first team with batting averages above .500 and impressive OPS figures.
Additional first-team members include Cooper Hawkes of Timpanogos, who contributed 15 doubles and eight home runs, and Tyler Ransom from Crimson Cliffs, who posted a .377 average and a 2.20 ERA.
The list also celebrates pitchers such as Chase Ford of Orem and Canyon Clegg of Timpanogos, as well as hitters like Jackson Pearce of Mountain Crest and Austin Smith of Crimson Cliffs, reflecting the depth of talent across the state.
Second-team selections such as Chipper Hawes from Bear River and Cael Esplin from Snow Canyon further illustrate the breadth of emerging talent, ensuring that the 2026 season will be remembered as one of the most prolific in recent Utah high school baseball history.
