A Promising Addition to the RedHawks
Miami Hockey announced that Branko Vukas will join the RedHawks' program ahead of the 2026‑27 season, a move that bolsters the team's defensive lineup with a proven USHL talent.
Head coach Anthony Noreen highlighted Vukas's blend of size, skating ability and hockey sense, noting that the defenseman's experience at Muskegon, Omaha and Oklahoma will add depth and stability to the blue line.
Vukas arrives after a season in which he logged 42 games for Muskegon, contributing 12 points while maintaining a +10 rating. His leadership was evident during a 2025‑26 stint with the Omaha Lancers, where he served as team captain and helped guide the club to a competitive finish.
The defenseman's résumé also includes stints with the Oklahoma Warriors and Chicago Fury, where he posted 12 points in 31 games and 40 points in 40 games respectively. His consistent offensive output and defensive reliability earned him a nomination as a finalist for the USHL's Gaudreau Award in 2025, underscoring his status as one of the league's top prospects.
