NFL Foundation Funds Hundreds of Free Youth Football Camps Across the Nation

A multi‑year initiative brings together current stars, legends and coaches to provide accessible summer programming for thousands of young athletes

NFL Foundation Expands Youth Football Outreach This Summer

The NFL Foundation announced that it will award grants to more than 350 current players, alumni and coaches, enabling them to run free summer football camps across the United States this season.

The camps are open to all participants at no cost, removing financial obstacles and creating equitable access to organized sport for thousands of youngsters.

Among the volunteers are rising quarterback Bryce Young, defensive standout Penei Sewell, edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., interior lineman Jeffery Simmons, Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr., and safety legend Ed Reed, each bringing personal ties to the communities they serve.

A Legacy of Giving

Recipients can partner with USA Football to launch the First Down Clinic program, a free introductory series that in 2025 alone hosted over 300 sessions and reached more than 60,000 participants. Jeffery Simmons has spoken about the importance of giving back and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

Beyond the camps, the foundation continues to champion initiatives such as PLAY 60 and Character Playbook, which blend physical activity with mental‑health resources, and it has cumulatively donated more than $1 billion over its half‑century of service.
