A Strategic Move for Yale's Program
Vincent Caliguiri, who spent several seasons as an assistant coach at Williams College, has accepted a position on the hockey staff at Yale University.
Jeff Hamilton, Yale’s newly appointed head coach, highlighted Caliguiri’s reputation as a top recruiter and his extensive player connections within the sport.
Yale’s program, which finished the previous season with an 8‑22‑1 record, is looking to rebuild under Hamilton’s leadership, making Caliguiri’s arrival a notable addition.
At Williams, the departure of Caliguiri leaves a vacancy in the coaching lineup, prompting the school to seek both an assistant coach and a dedicated goalie coach for its men’s and women’s teams.
Key players such as Jackson Krill, the NESCAC Rookie of the Year, and veterans Jake McManus and Brady Welsch are expected to return, providing continuity for the Ephs.
Dana Borges, another former Williams assistant, has taken a similar step to Colorado College, where he previously coached at Colgate and Arizona State, adding depth to the Tigers’ staff.
