Bo Moody, a freshman shortstop at Presbyterian College, has been selected to the Perfect Game First-Team Freshman All-American list, cementing his place among the nation’s most promising college baseball players.
A Program Milestone
He becomes only the second player in Presbyterian College history to receive Freshman All-American honors, following Brad Zebedis, who earned the distinction in 2011.
Moody’s accolades also include a spot on the Perfect Game Second Team, a place on the Big South’s All-Freshman Team, and a second-team All-Conference nod, while his performance earned him Big South Freshman of the Year on May 19.
During the 2026 campaign he paced the Blue Hose with 14 stolen bases, 39 runs scored and 23 walks, while ranking second on the squad with a .304 batting average, a .424 on-base percentage and 55 hits.
Defensive Impact
Defensively, Moody compiled 134 assists, placing him sixth across the Big South conference, showcasing his range and arm strength at shortstop.
Weekly Honors and Legacy
He was named Big South Freshman of the Week twice this season, joining Chris Veach and Tristan McGregor as the only freshmen in school history to capture the award on multiple occasions.
Beyond the statistics, Moody’s inclusion as a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, given to the nation’s top shortstop, underscores his rising national profile and the growing prominence of Presbyterian’s baseball program.
With the season still unfolding, coaches and analysts alike expect Moody to continue shaping the Blue Hose’s fortunes, potentially adding more chapters to a story that already marks him as a historic figure in the program’s recent annals.
