Eastern Kentucky University’s women’s soccer program released its 2026 schedule on Thursday, outlining a campaign that begins on August 12 and runs through November 1. The Colonels will play ten home matches at the EKU Soccer Field, where they have posted a 14‑2‑4 record over the past two seasons, and will meet three opponents that finished inside the top 110 of the RPI a year ago.
A New Conference Landscape
The upcoming season also marks a significant conference shift, as EKU will join the United Athletic Conference on July 1 and open a ten‑match conference slate in late September. The move follows a strong finish to the previous campaign, which included a program‑record 30 goals, 92 points and 32 assists, and a 7‑0‑3 home record that lifted the team to a season‑high No. 31 ranking in the RPI.
The schedule opens on the road at Cincinnati on August 12 before the home opener against Cleveland State on August 16. Early August also includes a trip to Youngstown State, a home match versus Morehead State on August 27, and a final August game at Chattanooga.
September begins with home contests against Miami (Ohio) on September 3 and South Carolina Upstate on September 6, followed by a visit to Northern Kentucky on September 10. The non‑conference portion concludes with a matchup against Xavier on September 17, after which the Colonels will start United Athletic Conference play with home games versus Austin Peay on September 24 and West Georgia on September 27.
October brings a stretch of road games, starting with a visit to North Alabama on October 4, then a home clash with Central Arkansas on October 8 and a first‑ever meeting with Little Rock on October 11. The schedule then shifts to four of the final five regular‑season matches on the road, beginning with trips to Tarleton State on October 15 and Abilene Christian on October 18.
The regular season will wrap up with a home game against North Alabama on October 25 before concluding on the road at West Georgia on October 29 and at Austin Peay on November 1. Match times, promotional details and conference tournament information will be announced later, and fans are encouraged to stay updated at EKUSports.com.
