North Allegheny Baseball Earns Seven Big 56 Honors Ahead of Postseason Clash with Hempfield

Three Tigers secure first‑team nods as the squad prepares for the WPIAL quarterfinals

North Allegheny's baseball program celebrated a rare sweep of the Big 56 All-Conference honors, with seven of its athletes earning spots on the league's first and second teams.

The Tigers' standouts were recognized individually: Mason Dratfinsky and Jake Fritz earned first‑team honors as outfielders, while Liam Cooper was selected as a first‑team utility player. Dratfinsky posted a .358 average with 19 hits, 11 RBI and 15 stolen bases, while Fritz batted .348 with 23 hits, 15 RBI and six steals. Cooper went 5‑2 on the mound, striking out 41 batters and posting a 1.34 ERA.

Postseason Outlook

The team enters the WPIAL quarterfinals with a 12‑8 record and will face #6 Hempfield on Monday, May 18, in a rematch of last year's quarterfinal showdown.

Additional contributors on the second team include Dominic Williamson, Nate Fritz, Nate Surman and Gavin Ust, each bringing solid offensive or pitching numbers that bolster the squad's depth.
