The Colorado women's basketball program has released its full slate of conference opponents for the upcoming season, confirming an 18‑game Big 12 schedule that blends familiar rivals with new challenges.
Conference Matchups Unveiled
Home‑and‑home series will pit the Buffaloes against Arizona State, BYU and Oklahoma State, while additional matchups include Arizona, Baylor, Central Florida, Houston, Kansas and Kansas State on the home side, and road trips to Cincinnati, Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah and West Virginia.
Head coach JR Payne, who has guided the Buffs to the NCAA Tournament in four of the last five seasons, enters his tenth year with a career record of 186‑128, underscoring the program's steady rise.
Last season the team posted a 22‑12 record and reached the Big 12 tournament semifinals before falling to Illinois in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, setting the stage for another competitive campaign.
A Deep Roster
The roster will be anchored by seven returning players, including guards Zyanna Walker and Kennedy Sanders, forward Logyn Greer, and veterans Maeve McErlane, Claire O’Connor, Jade Crook and Sophie Zadel, while seven newcomers — transfers Anete Adler, Aniya Foy, Mecailin Marshall, Kira Reynolds, Brooke Walker and freshmen Lauren Harris and Cail Jahnke — add depth and versatility.
With a blend of experienced leadership and fresh talent, the Buffaloes aim to extend their recent success and contend for another NCAA Tournament berth.
