Event Overview
USA Field Hockey announced the full slate of players who will represent the United States at the 2026 Junior Nexus Championship, scheduled to run from July 9 through July 19 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The tournament serves as the next milestone in the Olympic Development Pathway for the Junior U.S. Women's National Teams.
Osaka Hockey is listed as the presenting sponsor, underscoring its partnership with the sport’s development pipeline. The championship will feature competition across multiple age groups, with top performers earning invitations to additional Junior U.S. National Team camps and training opportunities.
Athletes who earn a spot will receive an email within 24 hours containing registration details and an athlete packet. The registration deadline is Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Those who cannot attend are asked to decline their invitation promptly so that alternates can be called.
Pathways and Alternates
Beyond the Nexus Championship, standout players from the U‑16 and U‑18 alternate lists will be invited to the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Iowa City, Iowa, from August 2‑4, 2026. A press release outlining those advancements is slated for the week of June 22.
Four Junior High Performance waivers have been granted, allowing additional athletes to compete in the Nexus event. The selected roster reflects geographic diversity, with participants hailing from states across the country.
Roster selections for the Senior Nexus Championship will be finalized after the conclusion of all High Performance Center training opportunities. Alternates will be notified by phone should a roster position become available.
