A New Chapter for the Raiders
Coach Kari Hoffman revealed the latest addition to the Wright State women's basketball program, confirming that Jayden Terry will join the Raiders for the upcoming season. The announcement came during a press conference where Hoffman highlighted the player's potential to contribute both on and off the court.
Terry arrives after a standout prep career in Gainesville, Florida, where she earned first‑team all‑area honors and was crowned the state's player of the year. Her high school résumé includes more than 1,600 points, 597 rebounds, 294 assists and 223 steals, numbers that placed her among the most decorated guards in recent memory.
College Experience at Louisiana Tech
During her freshman year at Louisiana Tech, Terry appeared in 29 games, making a single start. She logged 5.8 minutes per contest and averaged 1.8 points, showcasing a defensive presence that complemented her offensive skill set.
One of the season's memorable moments came on November 11, when she posted a career‑high 16 points against Louisiana Christian, a performance that underscored her ability to seize opportunities when the team needed scoring.
Looking Forward
Hoffman emphasized that Terry's arrival represents the second transfer addition to the roster, a move that aligns with the program's strategy to deepen depth and inject fresh talent. The coaching staff believes her defensive instincts and work ethic will help the Raiders compete more aggressively in the conference schedule.
