Kyle Hartman, who spent three seasons guiding the Fairfield High School girls basketball team to a 60‑18 record and a 3A semi‑state appearance, is relocating to Warsaw, Indiana, to assume the role of head coach for the Tigers program.
A New Chapter for the Tigers
Hartman will be formally introduced at a press conference scheduled for May 20, where he will outline his vision for the program and field questions from local media and fans.
The move follows a high school playing career at Bishop Dwenger and collegiate experiences at Huntington University and Bethel University, experiences that have shaped his coaching philosophy and deepened his ties to the region.
He succeeds Lenny Krebs, who stepped down after nine seasons at Warsaw, leaving behind a legacy of sustained competitiveness in the Midwest conference.
Community Expectations
Local officials and parents alike are optimistic that Hartman’s proven track record will translate into renewed energy on the court. Athletic director Maria Sanchez noted, “We’re excited to bring a coach with Hartman’s blend of discipline and player development to our school.”
The Tigers’ fan base has already begun rallying around the upcoming season, with season ticket sales projected to rise as the community anticipates a fresh direction under Hartman’s leadership.
