A Community‑Driven Soccer Vision
Joseph LeBoueuf, a DeRidder teen, launched a series of community events under the banner Friday Night Lights, aiming to channel the energy of the sport into mentorship for local youth.
Now in his first year of college, LeBoueuf balances academics with his passion for the game, earning a spot on the Dean’s List while continuing to refine his soccer skills.
He organized a structured soccer camp at the Beauregard United Soccer Association Complex, where dozens of children gathered eager to learn and improve their techniques.
Participants and their parents praised the teen’s dedication, with some kids even wearing socks printed with his face as a badge of admiration.
Looking ahead, LeBoueuf plans to host another camp next summer and revive the Friday Night Lights series, promising to keep building a supportive environment for aspiring athletes.
