Keller Daugherty, a 6‑foot‑10 forward from Lee’s Summit High School in Missouri, stepped onto the Iowa campus this week for an official visit that has already generated buzz among Hawkeye coaches.
Known for his ability to score at all three levels and to protect the rim, Daugherty posted a 48.1% field‑goal percentage and a 31.6% three‑point rate while averaging 14 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 blocks per game as a junior.
A Versatile Threat
Coaches highlighted his defensive versatility, noting that he can guard multiple positions and switch seamlessly on the perimeter, traits that align with Iowa’s evolving defensive schemes.
The visit coincides with Iowa’s intensified pursuit of top talent for the 2027 recruiting class, a group that includes Daugherty alongside other highly rated prospects. Although he remains unranked in the 247Sports Composite, he has already secured a power‑conference offer from Oklahoma, as well as scholarships from Drake, Iona and Colorado State.
Off the court, Daugherty plays AAU basketball for VWBA Elite, the same program that produced Keaton Wagler, and he credits that experience with sharpening his guard skills as he continues to grow physically.
