Texas A&M's baseball program received a major boost this week as four of its standout athletes were named to the All-America teams announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association in partnership with Rawlings and by Baseball America.
Caden Sorrell, the power-hitting outfielder, headlined the list with a first-team nod from the ABCA/Rawlings panel and a second-team selection by Baseball America. His .341 average, 23 homers and 76 RBIs set a new standard for Aggie hitters.
Pitching Dominance
Clayton Freshcorn anchored the staff with a 2.82 ERA and 12 saves, a tally that not only led the SEC but also tied for third place in program history for a single season.
Freshcorn’s contributions earned him the C.E. "Pat" Olsen Outstanding Pitcher Award, as voted by his teammates, underscoring his impact beyond raw statistics.
All-Around Excellence
Gavin Grahovac combined a .339 batting average with 22 home runs and 74 RBIs, while also topping the conference in slugging percentage, homers and RBIs. His all-round performance earned him the Marion Pugh Most Valuable Player Award from his peers.
Chris Hacopian added a .319 average, 11 homers and 41 RBIs to the mix, rounding out a formidable lineup that helped the Aggies contend for top honors.
The recognitions reflect a season in which Texas A&M posted strong offensive numbers and a reliable bullpen, positioning the team for continued success in the upcoming campaign.
