Christine Bumstead has been named the new head coach of the Seattle Torrent, taking the reins of the Professional Women's Hockey League franchise amid considerable anticipation.
Bumstead arrives after a distinguished stint as an assistant coach with the Torrent and a long history with the University of Saskatchewan's Huskie Women's Hockey program, where she helped guide the team to three postseason appearances and two national championship games.
