Utah Mammoth forward Michael Carcone is turning his off‑ice passion into a on‑ice celebration, announcing the inaugural Carcone Cup, a youth hockey tournament that will bring together the state’s most promising youngsters.
The event will feature a four‑team, co‑ed round robin format across three age brackets — 8 and under, 10 and under, and 12 and under — ensuring that each age group receives a balanced mix of competition and camaraderie.
A Tournament Built on Development
Each participant will receive a welcome gift and a custom game jersey, while the championship squads will be honored with medals, underscoring the tournament’s emphasis on both skill and sportsmanship.
Carcone, who was awarded the Utah Mammoth Community‑Obsessed Award last season, designed the competition to blend competitive hockey with holistic player development, aiming to foster not just better athletes but also confident young leaders.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Utah Mammoth Ice Center, kicking off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, and will be open to families, coaches and community members eager to support the next generation of hockey talent.
